RMBT rulebookdon't be weird

the rules.

RMBT works best when reviews are actually about teachers, classes, and school — not somebody's personal information or your opportunity to start a digital war.

simple enough, hopefully

the general idea

review the teacher, not their entire existence.

Talk about teaching, grading, workload, expectations, communication, classroom experience, and other things that could actually help another student.

01

keep it class-related

Reviews should focus on your experience with the teacher as a teacher.

Teaching quality, explanations, assignments, tests, workload, grading, expectations, organization, communication, and classroom experience are all fair game.
02

no personal attacks

Criticism is allowed. Random insults, harassment, degrading comments, or attacks unrelated to teaching are not.

"Their marking was inconsistent" is useful. A paragraph of personal abuse is not.
03

don't post private information

Do not post private phone numbers, addresses, personal email addresses, schedules, private social-media accounts, family information, or other information that should not reasonably be public.
04

don't identify anonymous users

Do not try to expose, guess, or reveal the identity of someone who posted anonymously.

Anonymous means anonymous. Leave the detective work at home.
05

no threats or harassment

Threats, intimidation, targeted harassment, encouraging harm, or repeated abuse of another person are not allowed.
06

serious allegations belong elsewhere

RMBT is not an investigation service and is not the appropriate place to report abuse, criminal conduct, threats to safety, or other serious incidents.

Those concerns should go through appropriate school, district, emergency, law-enforcement, trusted-adult, or support channels depending on the situation.
07

don't fake experiences

Do not knowingly invent classes you never took, impersonate somebody else, mass-post fake reviews, or manipulate ratings just because you like or dislike a teacher.
08

spam gets nuked

Repeated nonsense, advertisements, unrelated content, flooding, automated submissions, and other spam may be removed.
09

disagreement is fine

Two students can have completely different experiences with the same teacher.

A review does not break the rules merely because you disagree with it or because somebody gave a teacher a rating you think is ridiculous.
10

moderated does not mean verified

RMBT may review reports and moderate content, but that does not mean RMBT independently investigates or verifies every statement made in every review or reply.

Even content marked as reviewed by an RMBT administrator should not automatically be interpreted as independently proven fact.

moderation department

what happens when something gets reported?

RMBT admins may review reported content and decide to leave it alone, hide it, remove it, or take another moderation action when appropriate.

Reports are for possible rule violations, not for removing every review somebody doesn't like.

moderation question? →

DO

talk about teaching and your actual class experience.

THINK

would this actually help another student?

DON'T

post private info, threats, fake reviews, or personal abuse.
